There is a stain that covers man
Be it words he thinks to a bloody hand
This stain comes forth on a fallen race
And man’s best efforts can not erase
II
Our innocent children soon learn from within
This stain that produces these motions of sin
Fig leaves of religion cleanse not this stain
Brought forth by Adam and displayed by Cain
III
Are we without hope and left to despair?
To face God’s judgement for this stain we wear
His law we keep not though try we may
Damnation awaits on Judgement Day
IV
But God’s in his mercy, God in his love
Sent forth from heaven his Son from above
And on the cross he borne our stain
His blood to shed, our cleansing to gain
V
O’ the precious blood that leaves no stain
We’ll shout and praise as eternity reigns
These glories words, this lasting refrain
It’s Christ Jesus’ Blood that leaves no stain

 John
10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall
go in and out, and find pasture.
