God’s own blood

There is much controversy over the doctrine of God’s own blood, and are two sides of the argument, but obviously only one can be correct.

The two arguments are:-

1.  The Lord Jesus has ‘human’ blood only. (Heb 2:14-18)

2.  That our Lord had ‘Divineblood and not ordinary human blood. (Acts 20:28, 1 Pet 1:18-19)

Keeping in mind, the books we are dealing mostly in are Hebrews, Acts, Peter, and Old Testament Law. We should do wisely to remember that the whole of scripture doesn’t apply doctrinally to the church, also that the Shemite nations are more spiritually attuned than that of the Japheth gentile nations.

Firstly, we shall look at the argument of the Lord NOT having ‘Divine’ blood.

 The argument is that Jesus was fully human, (which he was) so he had to have ‘human’ blood.  They quote  reference Hebrews 2:14  Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

It is said that anyone who denies that He had ‘human’ blood is denying the full humanity of God and has the spirit of the ‘antichrist’ 1 John 4:3  And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Their argument for the Lord having ‘human’ blood is based basically on only one scripture passage (Hebrews 2:14-18) It is argued that God is a Spirit (which He is - John 4 :24 ) and it is impossible for a ‘Spirit’ to have physical matter like blood. This argument does NOT hold up, as God was manifest in the flesh which is physical matter 1 Timothy 3:16  And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. How can they deny that God doesn’t have blood because he is a ‘Spirit’? but can accept He can have ‘flesh’ That’s just ‘looney tunes’!  Most of their time is spent ATTACKING God’s own blood and SMOKE SCREENING  with different subject matters other than trying to prove God had human blood!  For example: They come out with things like “what matters most of all is whether the theory can be supported by the text of scripture” when in their thesis of a hundred pages long, they have only one passage of scripture to try and support their ‘theory’.  They go on ‘rabbit trails’ quoting scripture that has NOTHING to do with the subject!

Let’s look at the proof text that is supposed to prove the theory of human blood.

Hebrews 2:14-18  Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.  Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

The children are partakers of flesh and blood but he [Jesus] likewise ( not exactly the same as) took part ( not all ) of the same.  Notice the words ‘likewise’ ‘part’ and ‘like’.  Philippians 2:7  But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

James 3:9  Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. We are made in the similitude of God, similar but not exactly. He is made in the likeness of men, but not exactly. ( see Image of God verses the Image of man Also, the children are partakers of flesh and blood.

Our original parents Adam and Eve were NOT flesh and blood BUT flesh and bone’.  The same word ‘partakers’ in  Hebrews 6:4  For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

Paul tells the Jew (after the rapture of the church) that if he accepts the sacrifice of Christ on the cross and keeps his works to be justified ( James 2:24), he will be saved. If he doesn’t he’s in danger of hell fire ( Matt 5:22). The Jew in the tribulation will not have eternal security ( Eph 4:30), he is only a partaker of the Holy Ghost and will have to stay close to that blood which is not in an earthly tabernacle with earthly sacrifices but in the true. ( Heb 9:23-24). More on this later.

It behoved him to be made like ( not the same as ) unto his brethren, the seed of Abraham.  He took on the seed of Abraham (which was through Mary ) according to the flesh (Romans 1:3  Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;), (spiritually, Jesus was God’s only Begotten Son, John 3:16, Acts 4:27) to defeat the devil.  The devil could always accuse our Lord of not really knowing what it was like to starve or be tempted; so He came as a man in man’s likeness but not the exact sameness.

These verses DO NOT say that our Lord had ‘human’ blood but only that he came in likeness of man to defeat the devil.

Rejecters protest, that to deny Jesus having human blood is to deny the full humanity of Jesus, with the accusation of 1 John 4:3  And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. This is used to falsely accuse those who believe in ‘Divine’ blood, is to deny that our Lord came in the flesh, which is absolutely nonsense as the flesh is the subject matter and not blood!  The Apostle John is saying if a person denies 1 Timothy 3:16  And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.  THEN a person has the spirit of antichrist, NOT whether the ‘blood’ was divine or not!

So to deny that God’s own divine blood was in the Lord Jesus Christ is to deny the fact that “Jesus Christ is come in the flesh” as the life of the flesh is in the blood (Lev 17:11 ) Jesus Christ is eternal, He lives forever, hence His blood is eternal. If anyone is denying 1 Timothy 3:16 where “God was manifest in the flesh” and fall foul of 1 John 4:3, it is those who deny that Jesus Christ was FULLY GOD MANIFEST IN THE FLESH.  Remember the Lord Jesus Christ was Fully Human and also Fully God.

The “Divine blood rejecters” claim that if Christ didn’t have human blood, then Christ was not like us in all things. And if Christ we have put our faith in is not like us in all things, then He is powerless to help us in our greatest need as a human being--freedom from our slavery to sin and the death that comes as the just consequence of that sin.

Having human blood does not make a man, human. As Adam, who also was human did not have blood until after the fall ( Gen 2:23 ). Secularly, transfusions have taken place where the blood has been filtered and replaced with other stuff and the person was no less human during it. So all this proves is that Man can live with another circularly system like Adam did. Some even claim that technically the life of the flesh is not in the blood because of the operations that can be done with modern medicine. But this does not prove that life is not in the blood because during operations the blood is replaced with something else which temporarily sustains the person. If you put a tap on your big toe and turn it on, and watch your blood flow out, within five minutes you would be in Heaven or Hell.

The “Divine blood rejecters” also claim that the blood that the Lord Jesus had was from Mary and was no different than our blood, saying if we can transmit morals through blood, then a blood transfusion from a saint will make a man more holy, and one from a sinner will make a saint less sanctified. It will follow then, that a pre-natal blood transfusion on a "blue" baby will give it a totally different nature. Now, while it is true that the blood of any creature contains its life essence and the blood of Christ cleanses from sin, no Scripture assigns either sin or love to blood. Blood never holds morals in the Bible. So they claim that if Jesus Christ blood was from Mary, and Mary was a sinner ( which she was ), then the blood of man must be perfect and spotless, because if it wasn't then Jesus Christ had corrupted blood.

The Divine Blood rejecters are WRONG because-

1 The flesh and blood of a born again believer is no better than a unbeliever (John 3:6  That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.) It is the soul of the believer that is circumcised at the new birth ( Col 2:11). The body and blood will still go to the ground and perish. (John 11:39  Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.)

2  The blood of man is no good because the Scripture tells us it is no good. (Joel 3:21  For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the LORD dwelleth in Zion.) The blood has to be cleansed because it is not clean. Blood can be said to be innocent ( 1 Sam 19:5), it can be said to be righteous ( Matt 23:35), it can even be said to have a voice ( Gen 4:10), but one thing is for sure is that its substance is in need of being cleansed.

This cleansing will take place in the end days when the LORD will bring down blood from the heavens and the moon will be turned to the colour of blood ( Acts 2:20: Rev 6:12) and the holy mountain will spring out new wine and water the valley (Joel 3:18  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim.,) in which the nations will come forth in there season for healing and life. Revelation 22:1  And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.)

This raises the question of how did the blood get up to the Heavens? And how much blood does it take to cover the moon? Also, who will be in need of the cleansed blood?

THE NATIONS OF REV 22:2 FOR A START.

This pure river of water of life will come down from Heaven ( Joel 3:16) and will be in type the pure blood of the grape ( Deuteronomy 32:14 and thou didst drink the pure blood of the grape). which came from the PURE Himself (1 John 3:3  And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.) as Adam was to take of the tree of Life, so will the nations of the future. The Lord’s blood will be the new wine which flows out of the throne of God and waters the valley (John 6:53  Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.) This truly will be living water.

The Rock and rock of Deut 32 with the two different bloods, compliment Revelation and the poison blood of the seas and the living blood for the nations.( Deuteronomy 32:29  O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!)

But the Christian is in no need of blood in the future because we will be like the Lord Jesus. ( 1 Cor 15:50 ) but the church body will be in need of a washing (Ephesians 5:26  That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, ) More on this later.

The Hebrews also will be washed with pure water in heaven when they go through the red sea at the tribulation period (Hebrews 10:22  Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.)

Is The Lord’s Blood Divine?

DIVINE, 1. Pertaining to the true God; as the divine nature; divine perfections

Now onto the subject matter DIVINE BLOOD

Acts 20:28  Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

The church was purchased with his own blood.  The ‘his’ refers to God, so it is God’s own blood It is not really argued that it doesn’t say that it was God’s own blood, but only that it doesn’t MEAN that it was God’s own blood. It is a question of belief in the word of God rather than not having the scriptural proof text. The passage of scripture says it is his own blood, NOT Christ’s blood, NOT Jesus’ blood, NOT the Lord’s blood.  The scripture is made plain enough!

Here is where the smoke screening starts, out comes the Greek lexicons ( they must be the greasy cousins of the Irish leprechauns), and the ancient manuscript evidence, and all the gobbledegook to pretend to the gullible of mind what theologians they must be.

These so called godly men want to change “church of God” to church of the Lord. Why? To suit there own thesis!

1 Peter 1:18-19  Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: The precious blood of Christ was not corrupted.

Here is a quote from an unbeliever regarding 1Peter 1:18-19

“This text is used because it says that Christ's blood is not a perishable thing,

This quote I could not have said  better myself!  They know and admit what the text says, that Christ’s blood is not a perishable thing. However, human blood IS a perishable substance.  So, Christ’s blood is different; it is like ours, but it is NOT exactly the same, as Hebrews 2:14-18 testifies.

They KNOW the text says this, but REJECT God’s word!  They have accused Bible believers of being extreme literalists.  When the Bible is being figurative it plainly tells us.

For instance :-  Mark 4:34  But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.

The blood of Jesus Christ IS eternal.

The life of the flesh is in the blood - Leviticus 17:11  For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

Genesis 9:4  But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.

Eternal life is in Christ Jesus 1 John 5:10-13  He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

God is eternal - Deuteronomy 33:27  The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.

Christ had God’s own blood, so eternal blood was in Christ’s veins.

The Lord Jesus Christ had a living human body with God's blood (Acts 20:28). He had blood because it was to be shed for us and He had to die (Rom 3:25, 5:9), it couldn’t be human blood because that carried the sinful seed of man, thus the shedding of human blood would be spotted and blemished (1 Kings 2:32-33 And the LORD shall return his blood upon his own head, who fell upon two men more righteous and better than he, and slew them with the sword, my father David not knowing thereof, to wit, Abner the son of Ner, captain of the host of Israel, and Amasa the son of Jether, captain of the host of Judah. Their blood shall therefore return upon the head of Joab, and upon the head of his seed for ever: but upon David, and upon his seed, and upon his house, and upon his throne, shall there be peace for ever from the LORD.),  David says here that the LORD will not hold the house of David guilty of the innocent blood shed. But of the house of Joab through his seed was cursed and guilty.

Another case of this is Ham and his sin ,look who was cursed, Ham's descendants - Genesis 9:25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren. These people were guilty through the seed ( Blood) . These are only examples used for showing that we are guilty through blood. WE are all guilty through Adam's Seed -  Romans 5:18a   Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation;  (a common saying of men talking about seed - blood is thicker than water)

Whither we like it or not, we are all guilty and already condemned because of our forefather Adam. ( John 3:18, 36)

Therefore our blood is no good, it has to be righteous blood (Heb 9:14, 1 Pet 1:18, 19). The born again believer in Christ is part of a great mystery, we are baptized into the body of Christ, (1 Cor. 12:13) and become members of His flesh and bones (Eph 5:30-32), but not blood.

The blood of Christ was for a purpose, Hebrews 2:14  Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; His blood was likewise as ours but not exactly the same (Heb 2:14), it was a payment for sin; it was used to be shed for sinners; it was mingled with the vile filth of this world when he drank down that spiritual cup Mark 14:36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt. He then emptied himself on the cross.

The Lord God requires a sacrifice without blemish and pollution.  Malachi 1:7-8 Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the LORD is contemptible. And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now unto thy governor; will he be pleased with thee, or accept thy person? saith the LORD of hosts. The only bread that was acceptable was a 'perfect' 'sinless', 'spotless', 'blameless' sacrifice 'The Lord Jesus Christ' who is 'The Bread of Life' .  John 6:48 I am that bread of life.

The Lord Jesus Christ blood was neither lame nor sick, but 'Perfect and without blemish'.  John 6:53-56 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.

What Did Our Lord Do With His Divine Blood?

You might ask what does it matter?  It matters because God’s own blood was used for other purposes than that of the cross.  It also tells us in scripture that it was God’s OWN blood, simple as that!  We should mark those out who would deny the scriptures and change it to their own private interpretation.  Romans 16:17  Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

Hebrews 9:12  Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

The Lord Jesus by his own blood sanctified the heavenly tabernacle and the heavens themselves.  The word ‘with’ is NOT used because it is a heresy to teach that the Lord carried it up to heaven from Calvary’s Cross to sprinkle it on the mercy seat.

What it says is this, Lord Jesus entered into the holy place and did the job of a High Priest by sprinkling His Own Blood on the Mercy Seat.

Not all the blood went on the mercy seat ( Lev16:14-15). Some went on the altar ( Rev 6:9-11, 7:14), And some went in the water of heaven and it became a red sea.

Hang in there and all will be shown with scripture

What was the purpose of Eternal Divine Blood

Hebrews 9:12 describes a twofold event. Hebrews 9:12  Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

1Having obtained eternal redemption for us – this is what our Lord done on the cross of Calvary.

2But by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place – he ripped the veil in twain on earth and cleansed the holiest of all in heaven.

Let’s look at what Paul is telling the Hebrews concerning – 1.  having obtained eternal redemption for us.

Hebrews 6:4-6  For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

Paul is telling the Hebrews (not the church age, but in the tribulation after the rapture of the church) that if they believe in the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ, but fail to keep the good works they will be condemned to hell. They are saved by faith and justified by works.

James 2:24  Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

Contrast what James says than that what is told the Christian - Romans 3:24  Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Ephesians 2:8-9  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

What’s more is that we are justified now by His blood - Romans 5:9  Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

The Hebrews put their faith in the blood of animals to cover their sins, they knew this was only temporal and the High Priest would once a year make atonement to God in the Holy of Holies. Leviticus 16:34  And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make an atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year. And he did as the LORD commanded Moses.

Paul sets out to tell the Hebrews that the Lord Jesus Christ is the High Priest who enters within the veil ( Hebrews 6:19-20  Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.)

Paul then asks them a question, and explaining why Jesus who was of the tribe of Judah could be an high priest. Hebrews 7:11  If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron? The Lord was of an higher order than that of the levitcal priesthood. This Order was by an oath (blood), and a testament (blood). Hebrews 7:20  And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest: Hebrews 7:22  By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.

Hebrews 9:16-17  For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.  For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

Paul tells them that this is an everlasting testament and this High Priest can save souls. Hebrews 7:24-25  But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.  Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Paul sums up the matter - The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal High Priest and a minister of the heavenly true tabernacle which the Lord made, and not man Hebrews 8:1-2  Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

Paul tells them that their sacrifices by human priests are not good enough for eternal salvation and the things which they have been doing are only a shadow of the heavenly. Hebrews 8:5  Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.

The temple in Jerusalem had its veil ripped from top to bottom at the time of the crucifixion of Christ  (Mark 15:38  And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.) thus signifying the end of the covenant between God and Israel. ( Hebrews 8:13  In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.)

He then explains that the old covenant had ordinances attached ( Heb 9:1) and so will the new covenant have ordinances attached which will be ordained by the High Priest, the Lord Jesus Christ

 Hebrews 9:8-9  The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing: Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;

 The Holy Ghost tells us that the way into the holiest of all was not shown when the first tabernacle was standing.  The first tabernacle was a figure of something else which is called ‘The true’ in Hebrews 9:24.  This heavenly thing is a holy place and heaven itself is fashioned as such.  Moses is told by God to make everything according to the pattern given to him on the Mount ( Exodus 25:40).  The Lord Jesus entered into a greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands and he became a High Priest  Hebrews 9:11  But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

The first covenant was confirmed by blood (Hebrews 9:18-21  Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.  For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,  Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you. Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.)

So likewise the second covenant must also be dedicated with blood (Hebrews 9:23-24  It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:)

God was satisfied with the sacrifice on the cross for the redemption of sins of the world, but the confirmation of Blood was needed in Heaven for the new covenant to come into order with the House of Israel and the House of Judah ( Heb 8:8). Notice this covenant is not with the Church. The Lord Jesus ministry was to the Jews ( Matt 15:24) and He confirmed the promises made to the fathers during His earthly ministry.  (Romans 15:8  Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:) This new covenant had to be dedicated with blood for it to be an everlasting witness for the ages to come as the Jewish fathers had also, which left them with no excuse for their sinful ways (Acts 7:44 Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking unto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen.)

Now back to Heb 9:12c ‘having obtained eternal redemption for us’

 What is the pattern here?

Genesis 22:8  And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

The story of Isaac being replaced by the lamb is so self evident it hardly needs an explanation, but do notice that the lamb was sacrificed by a gentile on an altar.

Christ is our Passover Lamb for the eternal redemption-

1 Corinthians 5:7 b. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

Genesis 22:8  And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

John 1:29  The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

The Jews would understand what Paul is telling them about the Lamb of God being Jesus, and the saving power which only the Lamb can bring - Hebrews 12:24  And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

Paired with Genesis 4:4  And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:

Exodus 12:3  Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:

Exodus 12:5  Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:

Exodus 12:7  And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

Exodus 12:12-13  For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.  And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

Isaiah 53:7  He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

The Lord Jesus is the Lamb without blemish - 1 Peter 1:19  But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

His blood on the cross of Calvary is the fulfilment of the type of Passover lamb, but the lamb’s blood does not in type go into the holiest of all. The lamb’s blood is on the altar and is the sacrificial lamb. Exodus 29:16  And thou shalt slay the ram, and thou shalt take his blood, and sprinkle it round about upon the altar.

Exodus 29:20  Then shalt thou kill the ram, and take of his blood, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of Aaron, and upon the tip of the right ear of his sons, and upon the thumb of their right hand, and upon the great toe of their right foot, and sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about.

Leviticus 4:34  And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out all the blood thereof at the bottom of the altar:

Do we have a problem here with the lamb’s blood not going into the Holy Place?

NO, right here we have the crucifixion of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross with His divine blood being poured out completely for us. The lamb’s blood was sacrificed outside the tabernacle in the Old Testament, so where do you think you find the Lord Jesus blood shed?  that’s right outside the camp, from the garden of Gethsemane to Calvary. Hebrews 13:12  Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.

What other patterns do we have concerning Heb 9:12c ‘having obtained eternal redemption for us’

Leviticus 16:8  And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for the LORD, and the other lot for the scapegoat.

Leviticus 16:10  But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the LORD, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness.

Leviticus 16:21  And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness:

In type the two goats are the Lord Jesus and Barabbas, and the fit man was Simon.

The sins of Barabbas (House of Israel) were put upon the Lord Jesus Christ who is the innocent blood ( Matt 27:4) prepared from the foundation of the world ( Rev 13:8) to be the scapegoat led away by the fit man, and also the lamb that was slain.

Matthew 27:21  The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.

Mark 15:21  And they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross.

Hebrews 9:12 says we were redeemed before Christ entered the Holy of Holies and after He was crucified. The work of redemption was completed on the cross.

 ENTERING INTO THE HEAVENLY REALM

Hebrews 9:12  Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

The second part of the Heb 9:12 is where the blood went.  It is this part which the BIBLE REJECTERS find hard to understand.

2 but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place –

As I have said before this entering into the holy place has a vast more spiritual significance to the Hebrew than it does to the Gentile. The eastern mindset is vastly different than that of the western mindset.

Firstly, let’s look at the Christian outlook at this second part of the verse -

 Matthew 27:51  And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

The western mindset might think, so what, its real hard lines to the Jew, but that’s what they get for rejecting the Messiah. God has now come unto us (Acts 28:28  Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.)

I might just be speaking about myself though in my reprobate mind. I can logically see the significance of the veil being rent or whither the blood of bulls or goats was used and the reason behind it. But deep felt spiritually?  I can be honest and say I don’t really care what animals blood was used in the sacrifices of old or that you couldn’t have a wee nosey in the Tabernacle. Well at least I didn’t until my growth in the word and reading Hebrews and being taught by the Holy Spirit. The Lord Jesus Christ has me seated in heavenly places right now where I have been told to come boldly to the throne.

Ephesians 2:6  And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

Hebrews 4:16  Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

What I’m trying to say is the Eastern culture is vastly different than the Western. Just look at the Middle East and the in-fighting of all the different religions there. Pharisee against Sadducee, Sunni against Shia and many many more who will fight to the death over the most silly ritual that’s violated. As I said before the Western mind says THANK GOD I’M A SAVED SINNER. The Eastern mind says I’m not changing my religion unless you can prove your case with “every ‘i’ dotted and every ‘t’ crossed.”

I got to think about that and meditating on the significance is when this study came about. The Christian is washed in the blood of the Lamb by the cross of Calvary (Revelation 1:5  And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,) We are justified right now (present tense) by His blood on the cross. (Romans 3:24  Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

1 Corinthians 6:10-11  Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.)

All these things happened on earth but there was a need for our Lord to go to heaven and sanctify it Ephesians 5:26-27  That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Ephesians 5:32  This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

Concerning this mystery we find in Hebrews that the word and people were washed with blood and water by Moses, ( Hebrews 9:19b   he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,) Likewise the church which is the Bride of Christ and likened to a wife in Ephesians 5 will be washed in water and blood. ( Hebrews 9:22-23  And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.) The church right now is a Bride but in the passage it is a likened to a wife. This Bride of Christ is scattered throughout many denominations and nations with many a weird and unchristian stance taken by most in some aspect or another. It must surely grieve the Holy Spirit most times in seeing this. We are told the church will be glorious which isn’t right now.  So when ? At the marriage supper of the Lamb is when. But first she must be washed, and this baptism takes place in the red sea. The Lord’s Blood went up into heaven itself which is the true anti-type of Moses tabernacle ( Heb 9:24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:) and  the vast water up in heaven known as the deep or the sea of glass was stained with the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. It became The Red Sea with all the types in the word to prove this pattern of water and blood mixing, which is either for blessings or for punishment.

Exodus 7:21  And the fish that was in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.

2 Kings 3:22  And they rose up early in the morning, and the sun shone upon the water, and the Moabites saw the water on the other side as red as blood:

John 2:9   When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,

Revelation 16:4  And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.

The body of Christ is washed in the blood right now, but the Bride as a whole will be washed completely as we go up through the Red Sea at the rapture.

His Blood also sanctifies the altar in Heaven which will be discussed later on and also the Holiest of all.

We can get over powered by the old man and with our sin nature, but we can plead the blood.

What does it mean to plead the blood?

Hebrews 9:14  How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Accusing sins are the condemnation of the Devil and when they become too overbearing pleading the Blood of the Lord Jesus will purge and burn our conscience clean of these past sins. This blood is presently available to us to rid us of our dead works of the past, present and future. There is power in that blood!  The Christians example of this is in (1 John 1:7-9  But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.) where the people are saved because they are walking in the light, but when they fall down and sin when they are saved, the Lord has promised to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”.  By what means? Answer vs 7 “the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin” This is not the blood on the cross of Calvary, which was the sacrificial blood to blot out the ordinances against us that we have eternal life, but this is the blood which is up in heaven that if we confess our sins in the flesh after salvation, that they will not be mentioned at the Judgement Seat of Christ because they have already been purged.

As God’s blood poured out from Gethsemane to Calvary, it supernaturally dyed the water of the deep which became the Red Sea, and poured onto the altar in Heaven ( Rev 6:9). Jesus eternal blood was then offered by the High Priest (himself) to God without spot will purge your conscience from dead works, to enable you to serve the living God. This has nothing to do with salvation, but rather it has to do with the overcoming of our sinful past days in which we had no interest in God. The dead works are present tense and the blood is available right now to the Christian.

When did this offering take place?

John 20:17  Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

Jesus said to Mary not to touch him. Why, because Jesus hadn’t ascended to the Father.

Let’s go back to the Old Testament for the pattern -

Leviticus 16:4  He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches upon his flesh, and shall be girded with a linen girdle, and with the linen mitre shall he be attired: these are holy garments; therefore shall he wash his flesh in water, and so put them on. These things are the earthly holy garments.

After the atonement the priest puts on his normal earthly clothes -Leviticus 16:23-24  And Aaron shall come into the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall put off the linen garments, which he put on when he went into the holy place, and shall leave them there: And he shall wash his flesh with water in the holy place, and put on his garments, and come forth, and offer his burnt offering, and the burnt offering of the people, and make an atonement for himself, and for the people.

Leviticus 16:30-33  For on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before the LORD. It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls, by a statute for ever. And the priest, whom he shall anoint, and whom he shall consecrate to minister in the priest's office in his father's stead, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen clothes, even the holy garments:  And he shall make an atonement for the holy sanctuary, and he shall make an atonement for the tabernacle of the congregation, and for the altar, and he shall make an atonement for the priests, and for all the people of the congregation.

On earth the Lord wore swaddling clothes (Luke 2:7), and work clothes. The Romans made Him wear a purple robe (Mark 15:20  And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him.) . Joseph made Him wear fine linen at His burial. (Mark 15:46  And he bought fine linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre.) But these robes were not Holy Garments fit for a presentation to the Father. These were mans earthly clothes and were only fit to be left behind (John 20:5  And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.) and these clothes were also to be a picture of the rich man in hell ( Luke 16:19   There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:) and that’s where Jesus had to go for a short period of time ( Acts 2:27) to deposit our sins. Look also what happened to the sin offering in the old testament, it was burnt without the camp (Leviticus 16:27  And the bullock for the sin offering, and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the holy place, shall one carry forth without the camp; and they shall burn in the fire their skins, and their flesh, and their dung.

Hebrews 13:11  For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.)

Remember the Lord Jesus was the sacrificial Lamb who died for our sins [the bullock’s blood was for the sins of the priest  Leviticus 16:11  And Aaron shall bring the bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and shall make an atonement for himself, and for his house, and shall kill the bullock of the sin offering which is for himself: and the goat’s blood was for the sins of the people Leviticus 16:15  Then shall he kill the goat of the sin offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the vail, and do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat:], our sins were upon Him, so the sins of the priests and the sins of the people were burnt in hell, these sins were upon the Lamb who became a serpent while carrying these sins (John 3:14  And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:)

Afterward when our Lord was seen by many, he was seen in another form (Mark 16:12  After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country.)

Back now to the ascension ( John 20:17), where Mary was not allowed to touch Him. Mary thought him to be a gardener. So one form of clothes he had on was his earthly apparel but He changed into His heavenly clothing of an Holy High Priest after the order of Melchisedec. It is described in Revelation where you find Him in the Heavenly Tabernacle - Revelation 1:12-15  And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.  His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

So the Lord Jesus Christ ascended up to Heaven and by the way of ( through the Red Sea ) his own blood entered in once into the holy place and sprinkled the ETERNAL BLOOD on the mercy seat which sanctified the Heavenly Tabernacle with Blood without spot or blemish to God.

It is impossible for this to have be done on the earthly tabernacle and it’s more so impossible for the Lord Jesus Christ Blood to be like our human blood, which would have perished and certainly would not turn the deep into the Red Sea.

Hebrews 9:14  How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Hebrews 9:14 says blood and not sacrifice.  His sacrifice by his blood was completed on the cross for sinners to receive eternal life.  But, the blood offered to God was to purge our consciences from dead works to serve the living God?

The question is “How much more shall the blood of Christ, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?”

His Divinity filled the deep and it became a vast red sea above our heads. We are joined in spirit to Jesus Christ right now and seated in the heavenly places.  That’s right! Our spirit which can be so vexed right now sits with God in heaven.  When we die our soul goes to heaven to await our glorified body.

Tears in Heaven do not stop until Revelation 21:4  And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

So in heaven we will have no sin but we will have tears so the blood is STILL available up in heaven to purge the conscience of our regrets of the things that we didn’t do for our Lord.

Now let’s look at the Israelites outlook at this second part of the verse -

Hebrews 9:12b- but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place,

So the Lamb became sin, to take away the sin of the world. On the way up to the Heavenly True Tabernacle, He went by the way of the Red Sea which sanctified Him before the Almighty God. Remember Jesus Christ is the firstfruits of all things. (1 Corinthians 15:23  But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.)  Our Lord led us all the way, He is the Captain of our souls to be followed, not some General to bark out the orders and never to get his hands dirty.

The Lord shows us the way up to Heaven is by the Red Sea in which the firstfruit who is the LORD’s Christ (and only fruit for eternal redemption) was presented to God. (Ezekiel 44:30  And the first of all the firstfruits of all things, and every oblation of all, of every sort of your oblations, shall be the priest's: )

The Lord Jesus makes a new covenant with Israel (Hebrews 8:13  In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.)  like as God made with Moses [Exodus 34:27  And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.].

It shall be established by blood without leaven (sin) [Exodus 34:25  Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; ] and the firstfruit will be presented to the LORD GOD  (Exodus 34:26  The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring unto the house of the LORD thy God. )

This new covenant is what the Apostle Paul is telling the Hebrews. The Hebrews will understand this without any problem. It isn’t them who have the problem with the blood going into the Holy Tabernacle in Heaven. They will KNOW that the firstfruit has to be without blemish. ( 1 Peter 1:19  But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot )

The firstfruit has to be presented to the LORD GOD in His House (Exodus 34:26  The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring unto the house of the LORD thy God. Heb 9: 14)

Back then to the Jewish mindset.

Firstly, they had to go through a baptismal to cleanse Egypt ( which is a type of the world) from them (Exodus 13:18  But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.– 1 Corinthians 10:2  And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;) then Israel was presented with the covenant through Moses for 40 days (Exodus 34:28  And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.), The Lord Jesus presented the new covenant to the Jews for forty days (Acts 1:3  To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:)

But alas they rejected Christ (Acts 7:57) as they did God in the Old Testament (1 Samuel 8:7  And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.)

Now we have reached the doctrinal part of the verse which will apply to the Hebrew in the tribulation. To remind you the verse is - Hebrews 9:12  Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

As said before the Hebrew will obtain eternal redemption by trusting in the shed blood of the Messiah, the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ. At this time period though, the Holy Spirit no longer indwells the believer but will be upon certain ones like as in the old testament. (1 Samuel 10:6 And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.) and can leave if they keep not their works ( 1 Samuel 16:14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.)

So we are told in the following verses that the new believer during the tribulation will have to endure to the end and overcome, whereas the Christian has already overcame -  1 John 4:4  Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

The tribulation saint will have to overcome and endure to get salvation - Mark 13:13  And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Revelation 2:7  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Revelation 2:11  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

Revelation 2:17  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

Revelation 2:26  And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

Revelation 3:5  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Revelation 3:12  Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the

name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

Revelation 3:21  To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

That’s why we find the element of works connected to the tribulation saints salvation- James 2:24  Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

Matthew 10:22  And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

That’s why we find the Holy Spirit telling the people that they might lose there salvation - Hebrews 10:26  For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

How do they wilfully sin - Numbers 15:30-31  But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.  Because he hath despised the word of the LORD, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.

Doing wrong wilfully will bring the wrath of God upon them - James 4:17  Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

The tribulation saint ( Rev 7:9) who might have to die Matthew 16:25  For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

The saint who overcomes will receive a white robe which is the righteousness of the saints (Revelation 19:8  And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.):

We find in (Revelation 6:9  And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:) The tribulation saints under the altar in heaven.

Revelation 6:11  And white robes were given unto every one of them;. These saints have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb not for there salvation but for their endured works of righteousness (Revelation 7:14  And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.)

These saints washed their robes in the blood on the altar in heaven where the Lamb of God supernaturally had His Godly precious Blood after Calvary.

Hebrews 9:14  How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

The tribulation believers from every nation and tongue ( Rev 14:6 ) will truly have to grasp this verse, because they have to keep good works and the commandments of God, or they could end up in Hell if they fall. They truly will need a repentant heart and thank the Living God for that Blood in Heaven that the High Priest may hear their plea. They can’t look back to Calvary because there is no more sacrifice (Hebrews 6:4-6  For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. ) They have already trusted in Christ’s Sacrifice on the cross but there is no spiritual circumcision to keep them. What keeps them is there works or death as a martyr.

Whereas to the Christian when he gets himself in the flesh, he has access to the throne and pleads the blood ( Heb 9:14) of Christ to purge him of the evil which is before him ( Romans 7:19  For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.) The Christians sins are blotted out ( Acts 3:19), never to be mentioned again, his soul is circumcised ( Col 2:11), his soul cannot commit any more sin even if it wanted. But his works will be tried by fire at the Judgement Seat of Christ ( 1 Corinthians 3:13-15  Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.  If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.)

The Christian is washed in the blood of the Lamb (Revelation 1:5  And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,), we take on the righteousness of Christ for salvation and we are clothed with the works which we do after salvation. The works of a Christian will be tried in the fire and the bride will be baptized in the blood of the Red Sea. (1 Cor 10:2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;)

We all go up through the red sea to the Promised Land like as Moses did.  All this is a type of what happened in the Book of Exodus.

Another example is that of - Leviticus 14:49-53  And he shall take to cleanse the house two birds, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop: And he shall kill the one of the birds in an earthen vessel over running water: And he shall take the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet, and the living bird, and dip them in the blood of the slain bird, and in the running water, and sprinkle the house seven times: And he shall cleanse the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, and with the living bird, and with the cedar wood, and with the hyssop, and with the scarlet: But he shall let go the living bird out of the city into the open fields, and make an atonement for the house: and it shall be clean.

Our spotted unclean body is that of the leper whose house is in need of cleansing. The Lord Jesus Christ in His human body is the bird which is killed in the earthen vessel on the cross of Calvary with His eternal blood poured out over the water in heaven. We are cleansed and made without spot or blemish before God because of the redemptive Blood on the Cross.

The living bird is the Risen Saviour, which is dipped in the Blood of the altar in Heaven of that of the first bird ( Himself ) and makes atonement for the house of God ( Heb 9:23,24) .

 Conclusion

Hebrews 6:8-9  But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned. But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.

Romans 14:5 b Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind

The Lord Jesus Christ Blood is a very important issue. To relegate His blood to that of merely a human, closes the blood to be there in Heaven for the cleansing of the Saints.

I pray that those who read this will not have a closed mind to the scriptures, but have an open heart to the Holy Spirit who will teach them all things.
