(Mark 5:26) And had
suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had,
and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,
This text comes from
the woman with an issue of blood that Jesus healed. Yet it’s application
are far more than just the story in Writ and much can be gleamed from the
text and passages around it.
1.
The physicians of the world are many and when one examines their
real worth we often must concur with Job they are physicians of no
value.
Job
13:4 But ye [are] forgers of lies, ye [are] all physicians
of no value.
I mean even abortionists are often licensed physicians
and they take life rather than promote it. This is not to say
that all physicians are
immoral or mercenary, but we are dealing with flesh that makes its
livelihood off of other
flesh. Therefore, it is unwise to exalt them to a
position of honour that is above their worth because they are just
flesh.
2Ch 16:12 And Asa in the thirty and ninth
year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease [was]
exceeding [great]: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD,
but to the physicians.
It has
been said that natural death is where you die by yourself without the
help of a doctor.
2.
The physicians of this world are not free but the great physician
is.
Isa
55:2 Wherefore do ye spend money for [that which is] not bread?
and your labour for [that which] satisfieth not? hearken
diligently unto me, and eat ye [that which is] good, and
let your soul delight itself in fatness.
And
with the average salary of family physicians here in America at $144,000
dollars (£76,000 GBP) and specialist well above that you can just like
our woman spend all you have and still be the worse for it. This gives
credence to the master forger of all lies when he stated, And Satan
answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath
will he give for his life. Notice she spent all she had, though the text
does not say that after she was penniless the visit stopped ---but the
norm is they do. It spells fee not free.

3. Yet, spiritually men often spend all that they have as far as time
and effort to make them feel better about themselves. Some try
self-reformation and religion, but the more self-reformation and
religion that is applied the whiter the
sepulchre.
(Matthew 23:27) Woe unto
you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited
sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full
of dead [men's] bones, and of all uncleanness.
Yet, to
our woman’s credit she still knew she was unclean (Lev. 15:25). While
this issue was obvious to her, a whited
sepulchre will not see
his uncleanness.
Pro 16:2 All the ways of a man [are]
clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.
Whites
sepulchres
do not relish their own spiritual poverty and the words of Solomon are
adverse to their own self-deception.
Pro 20:9 Who can
say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?
Why,
because he has spend that all he has on self-reformation or religion and
to recognize his uncleanness would reveal spiritual bankruptcy. However,
we who are saved should remember that prior to the
Great Physician all of us were as lepers with our hand over our mouths
crying unclean (Lev.13: 45).

4.The “spiritual physicians” of this world want you to go
to them and not to Jesus. And if by chance you complain
that you still have an issue of
uncleanness, they will recommend diver treatments of penance, good works
or religious ritual. Yet, some of the more liberal minded may tell you
that you have no issue at all and ye will not surely die (Gen.3:4).
However, unless your conscience has been seared (1Tim 4:2) you will
labour more and more and be the worst for it.
(Romans 4:4) Now to him that worketh is
the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
These religious physicians would rather have you die than
go to Jesus, just asks Lazarus.
John 12:10-11 But the chief priests
consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death; (11) Because that
by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.
Was it not they who wanted to kill the Great Physician
because of envy and position (Matt.27:18).
John
11:48 If we let him thus alone, all [men] will believe on him:
and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.

5. Even though she was
penniless, diseased and had nothing to offer, she was not turned away.
And even in spite of the multitude (5:31) Jesus can be reach with the
hand of faith.
1 Corinthians
1:26-27 For ye see your
calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many
mighty, not many noble, [are called]: (27) But God hath chosen
the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath
chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are
mighty;
Jesus did not ask she had any insurance or had money to
pay a fee, but gave her assurance and it was free. This Physician need
not to read a chart to find about her, but has already read her heart.
Well glory to God there is no waiting room and he does not send out a
hireling to let you know the “the doctor will see you now”.

6. No matter how long you have had an issue or how severe
this Physician can heal the soul. You are not just another patient but a
son or daughter. Yet, even though we approach The Physician of all
physicians with fear and trembling when we leave his office we go in
peace. He will never have you make another appointment to see if his
treatment had dried up the issue. However we must remind ourselves to
fall down in prayer and tell
him all the truth. This is done
so we can enjoy our salvation and always have peace.
Mark 5:25-34
And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, (26)
And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that
she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, (27) When
she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his
garment. (28) For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be
whole. (29) And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up;
and she felt in [her] body that she was healed of that plague.
(30) And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out
of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my
clothes? (31) And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the
multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? (32) And he
looked round about to see her that had done this thing. (33) But the
woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell
down before him, and told him all the truth. (34) And he said unto
her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole
of thy plague.

If you are not 100% sure that you are going to
Heaven when you die, enter in at the the door:

John 10:9 I am the door: by
me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find
pasture.
